Review iPhone 5 – A Complete Pack with a few holes!

iPhone 5 or you can say “Steve Jobs Dream Project” started making news well-before its official launch. The Apple enthusiasts all over the globe filled the web space with tons of iPhone 5 rumors. Not to forget, this Apple release is highly praised, compared to its earlier versions.

According to the sources, the rumors were mainly about iPhone’s size, the new design, the new mini connector, more RAM, 3D camera, NFC capability and 4G/LTE network support. As per my choice, I didn't gave much thoughts to the size, but was looking forward to have a better camera, powerful processor and more RAM added in the final product.

However, after the release on iPhone 5 on September 21, 2012, the rumors got cleared. As per iPhone 5 review by experts, the new Apple iPhone comprises of 4-inch screen and a smaller eight-pin dock connector, compared to the iPhone 4S (as predicted). Also, the pre-order selling of this heavily hyped iPhone were twenty times faster than its predecessors.

As far as fresh technology is concerned, the iPhone 5 is the first iPhone to support LTE. Also with newly added Passbook feature in iOS6, the device can get wide range of documents including boarding passes, admission tickets, coupons and loyalty cards. Some other features which were not available in earlier iPhone version include Facebook app (by default), Maps (Apple's own as it removed the Google Maps from the system). Last but not the least, this new iPhone 5 comes with latest iOS 6 operating system and driven by Apple A6 processor which is 40% faster than its predecessor A5.

However, there are a few drawbacks also (Nothing is PERFECT!). The major one is in the new “Maps” app, which is reported to contain many serious errors like inaccurate directions. Also, the new device tends to heat up quite a bit, which was not an issue with earlier version of iPhone.

As far as I can say, those looking forward for an upgrade from an iPhone 4 to the iPhone 5 will definitely get a pleasant experience in terms of speed, and an overall experience. But it is also true that I see no reason for iPhone 4 lovers feeling low and going for new iPhone 5.

In addition to above, the iPhone 5 may not rise above the expectations of many users, but that doesn’t preclude the fact that the device still worthy of consideration from smartphone buyers.
